working-class people can be kinky, too.

Now you are talking!  But it's one thing that "a woman for babies, a
man for pleasure" is a way of life (as in ancient Greece and today's
Afghanistan), and it's another thing that it exists only as a kink, a
perversion, or a minority taste, to take just one example.  Capitalism
does standardize things, for better (e.g., orthography) and worse
(e,g, eros).
