However, that probably also means popularity has something to do with
human well being.  Is it people get the attention they need?  Some of
them seem to crave a lot of it.  One could turn that on it's head and
say that for everyone plenty of social attention of the right kind is
an environment one could thrive in.  That's an important value that
movies sell in the market place.  The main or feature character is some
sort of every wo/man who we'd all sort of like to be right next to.
