Everybody getting this?  Something is fascist not because of its immediate
practice but because of what we think is in the minds of some of the ruling
class...or because someone channels as a "likely" sequence of reactions
inside those minds later after some subsequent events....

An interesting new way to think about fascism, I admit, but it builds upon
the most non-materialist--nay, anti-materialist--assumptions imaginable.
