Hmmm. Maybe.
Action in the streets without dealing with the Democratic Party is
ultimately going to build nothing that lasts.
That's why I think both are necessary, but minus actions in the
streets, we'll end up with just a study circle or something like that
(although I love to study with you -- your posting on the roles that
interpretations of the history of Rome played in US politics is
wonderful!).
Personally, I think I'd like us to pull it off the socialist unity current
and then worry about crossing that bridge of electoralism when we get to it.
Where do we start, Yoshie?
Can we work up an online petition of independent radicals to send to
Solidarity, the ISO and any other appropriate groups saying, "Hey, get it
together this time"?
A manifesto can't be bad. If nothing else, it will prod some people
to think about this and maybe able to start a debate. Do you think
you want to actually do it?
