Personally, I don't think the 9-11 silliness is explicable without reference
to the X-Files and the UFO heritage. We know now that the UFO stories were
seeded by the U.S. government both to cover up its use of experimental
aircraft in the U.S. and its use of sophisticated, high-flying spy planes
over the former Soviet Union.

Part of the psy-ops and disinformation machinery of the Cold War involves
the diffusion of easily dismissed "conspiracies theories."

This also provides them with a way to dismiss real conspiracies with real
evidence. Like how the Bush administration constructed a rationale for war
in Iraq and sold it to the Democrats and the media and the public....

Or the real conspiracy around 9-11...how Reagan's deregulation of the
airlines industry allowed for privatization of airport security, which is
directly how the hijackers stole the planes in Boston. But, no, instead of
that, we'll talk about what's clearly unserious fairy tales.

It we look at the structure of all of this, it's the same silly Roswell
crap. A series of unproven assertions capped by a challenge to disprove the
assertions that were never proven.

Hence, the aliens must be stealthily crossing interstellar space to perform
urgent experiments by sticking probes up Gomer.

It's silly.

Solidarity!
