Doyle;
I'm sorry this is one of those blogosphere things that came up recently
in which I can't assume everyone is familiar with. The political
pesticide industry right is mounting an attack against environmentalist
swift boat style. It's notoriously hard to counter such assertions as
millions killed by malaria due to environmentalist interference with
the use of DDT. In my view the reductionists theory stuff isn't likely
to amount to much in terms of a debate with the left from a reformist
era that might come. Or at least not as I see things currently. I
think it was right to mount an attack mechanical thinking in the past
to get past liberal claims. See this scabrous site material on DDT for
example:  http://www.aaenvironment.com/DDT.htm

thanks,
Doyle Saylor
