Hi,

I am using perfmon patched kernel 2.6.23 with libpfm 3.4 and I have
re-written the smpl_amd64_ibs.c to get self monitoring.
I occasionally see my process getting "hanged" and I am even unable to kill
it as it is running in kernel. In the absence of any
kernel sources or root access on the system, I don't find a way to debug
this problem. With respect to this, I wanted to know if
there were any such bug fixes made in the newer kernel (2.6.24 or 2.6.25).
My sampling intervals are in the range of 100-175 cycles
and I do a left shift of 4 to max_count to make least 4 significant bits 0.
I know it is a very sketchy description of the problem but any hints
would be highly appreciated.

Thanks !
