Hi, I'm doing a project for American General Insurance (which was recently taken over by AIG-American International Group), called WORKSITEEASE MARKETING, using Visual Basic 6.0 and Oracle 8i. One of the requirements is to upload a text file (ASCII) to a main frame data set. I'm using internet libraries (wininet.dll) to open the connection,connecting to the server and uploading the file. The list of libraries are InternetOpen InternetConnect FtpPutFile InternetCloseHandle Some times the FTP is going fine but some times it hangs for the TIME OUT period and giving me the error 451 Transfer aborted due to receive error. I'm unable to find the reason for the failure. Does any body have any clues? Appreciate your feed back. Vinod Kumar, 713-831-2026.
