Hi all,

I'm working on getting Perl into Google's Summer of Code this year, but
before we can apply, we need to show a sufficient pool of willing
mentors and a list of suggested projects.

Summer of Code gives students a chance at an 11-week full-time
internship (with a stipend) so they can spend their summer working in
an open source project instead of a lumberyard. This is a great chance
for the Perl community to bring in some new blood and get some cool
code written.

If you're interested, willing and able to be a mentor, please add
yourself on the wiki page below. You'll need to be available
throughout the summer (May - Aug) to keep your student under your wing
and generally steer them toward appropriate resources and provide
technical feedback. Mentors will report progress weekly to Steffen
Müller (who will be managing the "modules, applications, &etc"
department) and will be expected to complete the mid-term and final
evaluations for the student.

If you would like to suggest a project, please add it here:

If you hate wikis as much as I do, please visit this handy form and I
will batch the wiki edits on your behalf.
