Yes, Chad; I tried removing the single quotes and leaving no 
quotes at all; I tried using double quotes; using only the 
folder type literally, with single, double and without quotes; 
to use the folder type as mbox and as Mbox; I even tried using 
mh folder type.  

It probably is something simple, but I just don't see it.  Ha, 
ha, ha... I mean "see it" figuratively, since I am blind and 
use a screen reader and voice synthetizer to read it.

Anyway, I thank you for the effort.  I had hoped that someone 
else was using this module on a Redhat 9 box, so I might have 
learned from his/her experience.  I read all the module 
documentation and I couldn't find anything else about it in the 
FAQs.

Like I said before, I first tried Mail::POP3Client and it works 
fine, except that it does not handle MIME.  Perhaps I can use 
some combination of that module with the MIME modules.
