Is there any way to tell if a file on an NT or Win2k system is being written to?
In UNIX I can use the "fuser" system call to show me what file handles are open and which users are writing to them.
Is there any similar function in NT/Win2k?
Right now I'm taking samples of the file size and checking to see if it's increasing, but there has to be a better way than that!
I need to make sure no one is writing to a file before taking action against it.
