The following Perl line works: @ShowPwOutPut = '\"C:\\Program Files\\Tivoli\\TSM\\BACLIENT\\DSMCUTIL\" showpw /node:X97958-NT1` I get back the nodes password. Sometimes I have won't be in the specific directory that has a file I need for the command to work. When that is the case I pass it /optfile:. @ShowPwOutPut = '\"C:\\Program Files\\Tivoli\\TSM\\BACLIENT\\DSMCUTIL\" showpw /node:X97958-NT1 /optfile:\"C:\\Program Files\\Tivoli\\TSM\\BACLIENT\\dsm.opt\" /validate:no' When I run the command this way the array is blank (empty). Now when I run both of these commands at a command line they both work. They both display the password to the screen. I am thinking that maybe when I pass /optfile a 2nd command is being run but I don't know how to tell that. Any ideas on what I can do to get to the bottom of what is going on here. Note that I believe I have ruled out code syntax because I am not getting any Perl errors.
