Hello Tom, I ran into the same thing for a perl script that was checking the AVP levels.
There isn't an option in TieRegistry to ignore Samba so you have to do this in your list build. I built an exclusion routine to ignore Samba and Network Appliance boxes. I don't have the script in front of me since I am on a trip but you can look into the GetServers function from NetAdmin mod by Tim Roth. You can do a search for Unix which will list the Samba servers and then exlcude them. This is off course if you allow the users to create them. Otherwise, if you have total control and only have a few. Just an exclusion hash and use the exists option....
