Upon reading this message, I wandered if the subject was alright or if
it should have been "simple and small question with a ton of
disclaimer..." I even got scared at answering someone with such a big
footer! :)

Now to the answer: I don't know whether you'll find something already
made for your purpose (wouldn't be too surprised if there was!), but you
can probably do it very easily. Just keep in mind that you can execute
perl.exe from a mapped network drive. Just map a drive letter to
\\server_name\c$\perl (or just \\server_name\c$ if you're running
something below W2K on your client machine) and run perl from there
passing it the -v option. In addition, try checking out PPM syntax and
running that one with the proper command line options to get a list of
installed modules and versions. Just don't forget to either add "." in
FRONT of your path, or removing any perl related directory from the
path. Easiest way is having a PATH=. at the batch file start up.

P.S.: No disclaimers here... :)

P.P.S.: Don't be mad at me! I know you probably don't have control over
that because it's probably an automatically generated footer... :)

I am looking for documentation on maintaining a perl distribution on
multiple servers in particular , being able to verify the version of
perl and modules. Does anyone have some good research material on this
subject ?
