All of our systems have Perl installed as part of our standard 
configuration. Whenever modules need to be added or Perl upgraded I use the 
following process.

1. Using a standard reference machine, I install the Perl modules to the 
existing Perl or delete the current Perl and install a new version and all 
required modules.

2. I run a script that removes the current Perl directory on each machine 
in the domain and replaces it with the Perl directory from the standard 
reference system. It would also be possible to do a diff of the files 
needed to upgrade a module and only copy those files.
