Thanks for the quick responses! I was already looking through your docs
for Win32-Exchange, but was shying away because of the intermittent
problems stated with NT installations. I don't plan on going win2k for
a while, but I guess MS Exchange is just one of those products that
isn't too open for data picking. It just seems like such an obvious
thing that someone might want to programatically access, I thought it
might have already been done.

Thanks,

As the author of Win32-Exchange, I'd suggest that this functionality
isn't there, nor do I know where to find this info.

As well, I think it's part of a server-side rule on the individual
mailboxes, but I'm not sure (and haven't ever looked for it).

:)

Sorry I can't be of more help, but wanted to steer clear of this one
quickly.

Steven

Have you looked at the Win32::Exchange module? It's a good place to
start. Also, if you haven't done anything with Win32::OLE, now is a
good time to start, because you will start to need it for these kinds of
things.

I would like to query a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server to find out if
someone is "In" or "Out" of the office based on their "Out of Office"
flag. Has anyone done this?

I have an application on an nt box that needs to connect to a different
server for the exchange data. I use ODBC drivers for numerous other
database connections, and would like something that would allow for the
above capability.

Any hints as to exactly where the flag is stored are welcome.

:)

Thanks for any help.
