my phb asked me if it was possible to check the settings on installed
printers on the network, I looked and found the module win32::printer
which seems to do what I want. But, its a perl 5.8 module. So I
upgraded to perl 5.8 using the activestate binary. Now I'm noticing
that I cant find a number essential modules. like lanman (what good is
perl without lanman :->) or netadmin. Is it an 18inch error (something
stupid I'm doing) or are these modules simply not available on 5.8.
I didnt upgrade by the way i did a fresh install of 5.8
