Is the POP3 protocol enabled for your account
on the Exchange server? Looks like the addresses are being resolved at the
exchange server level before it hits your smtp gateway. (i.e.
your exchange server is not your smtp gateway server)
If you don't have the rights to config your
exchange to allow pop3, then config your perl scripts to send the
messages directly your SMTP gateway server (external IP
address) and the messages will be rerouted back into your
company.
