I don't see any function using :optional or :opt_flag in the program. I can just repeat this answer regarding ncurses:
Please go through all the dlfunc ops and compare the signatures with the man page(s). Then check the calls of the functions for correctness.
WRT libform - these should probably factored out into a second library. leo
