To give a concrete and immediately relevant example: the fact that people are using :immediate to load libraries at compile-time is a good sign to us that this is something they're likely to need often. (Chip and I both think .loadlib is a good idea, to "canonize" this common behavior.)

The best way to promote the evolution of a system is to make evolution easy.
