Not really -- you're not going to use a lot of different loop-variables,
aren't you ? But :
while ( my $line = <FILE> ) { ... }
...
while ( my $line = <LIFE> ) { ... }
is now probably going to issue some warning (about a lexical masking an
earlier declaration, you know.)
