I talked with Larry about schedule. I'd been under the impression he
was going to produce a draft language spec on October 1, and the final
on October 14. He set me straight: draft on October 14 (his keynote
to the Atlanta Linux Showcase), no deadline yet for final spec.
So we have until October 1 to freeze all the RFCs. That's a few
more days than I initially thought. I'd still like the RFCs to be
static while he's evaluating them in the 1st two weeks of October.
It seems unfair for him to have moving targets.
Larry said he wanted to have a comment on every RFC by October 14.
That's a lot of work :-)
I've also heard whispers of what he's proposing. It's going to be
good ...
I'm going to YAPC::Europe now (wife is yelling at me to pack up the
keyboard :-) so email access will be intermittent. It seems like
we're on track to wrap up, though.
