Thanks for the tests. Which perldl.conf options did you try: all defaults (if so, which modules got selected to build out of the "let perl decide" ones?). > Might be best to upload release candidates to CPAN rather > than sourceforge. I don't know the protocol here. I do know that when I was trying to make a mini-CPAN to test the cpan shell install with the cygwin code I had to change the module version to N.M.P in order for CPAN to accept the submission. My goal for this testing is a sanity check on the existing cvs code to: - test build/install for supported OSes - make sure there are no surprise show-stopper bugs - confirm fixed/not-fixed status from outstanding bug list - update Known_problems with status from above testing I figure I'll give a week for this testing and plan for the final 2.4.3 release distribution next weekend. At that point, we can put the distribution up on SF and propagate to CPAN. Bugs detected after that point can be resolved in a quick 2.4.4 patch release if needed. Otherwise, we'll let the release stand and get back to cvs development. > Just a thought - not necesarily a correct one :-) > Cheers, > Rob Thanks again, Chris
