Interesting page. I went through each item to see how our candidate
logos rank. In summary, we seem to be doing well, but some logos may
be hard to read (point 10) and I should confirm that the logos look
fine in gray-scale (point 7). I'll check the colours tomorrow.

Here is a full run-down:

1) Uninspired Fonts - check

None of the logos use cutesy fonts like comic sans or whatever. They
all use a plain semi-condensed or condensed, sans-serif font. C1 uses
Futura and my derivatives use Liberation Sans.

2) Stock Art - check

Ok, I did get a camel silhouette from openclipart.org, but I have
modified it significantly using Inkscape, especially in AT. The other
elements (e.g. the Planck curve) were hand-drawn by yours truly.

3) Filters and Effects - check

I knew better than to design a logo using filters with Gimp. I know
you can do cool things with them, but a logo is not a good place for
most filters.

4) Inappropriate Imagery - dunno

I say "dunno" because "appropriate" is in the eye of the beholder.
Personally I think that the PDL prompt, the Planck curve, and a camel
are all highly appropriate. But that's just one man's opinion.

5) Really, Really Inappropriate Imagery

ROTFL!!!

6) Fuzzy Graphics - check

Our candidate logos are all non-fuzzy (as defined on this page).

7) Reliance on Color for Effect - dunno

I'll check the logos in grey-scale tomorrow. I think most will be ok.

8) The Corporate Swoosh - check

No swoosh for us here. :-)

9) Unnecessary Complexity - check

Our candidate logos are generally fairly simple.

10) Unreadable Jumbles - partly

This could be an issue for C2, C3, AL, U, AF and the recent addition
from Luis (AV). This is something we should keep in mind.
