See the PDL/TODO file for the list. Here is
the bullets and a short status:

R Improve PDL usability for first time users
R Need to test PDL build/install from scratch

   Did you get PLplot and TriD working on your VMs
   The directions need to be in the install info.

R Clean up and triage for tickets prior to release.

   Only one critical bug left for this which is
   hoped to be fixed this week. All the rest are
   lower priority or nice-to-haves.

R Update PDL web site pages

   Good to go?

R  Review current documentation (underway)

   Good to go?

R Add/update platform install notes to PDL wiki
R Add CPAN shell start-up info to PDL wiki or web page

   Good to go?

R Need PLplot and PDL::Graphics::PLplot to build all platforms

   Did your tests find any problems with this?

R  Complete Perldl2 shell:
R * Fix demo to work with Perldl2
N  * Fix Ctrl-C handling for win32 systems
N * Add safe pdl allocation option to prevent OOM death

   The main issue here is fixing the demo so users
   can try PDL out with pdl2 as with perldl. The
   Ctrl-C handling and 100% perldl back compatability
   are nice-to-haves that aren't worth delaying the
   release for.

R Add support for improved 2D image display using TriD
R  * Move imag2d() into a module form
N * Enable REPL and GUI simultaneous operations and event loops

   CHM needs to finish moving imag2d into a module.
   Functionality should be the same as before.

R New pdl() constructor with matlab [] syntax for string arguments

   David is working out the final two issues with
   the implementation. Hope to hear about success
   soon.

N How to install the CPAN Testers reporting packages
N Document how to set up a local sandbox for PDL build
N Add docs/support for users of other non-PDL software
N Update PDL Book (in progress)

   All these doc issues would be nice to have finished
   before the PDL-2.4.7 release but they can be continued
   asynchronously with the release.

N  Finish spheres3d implementation
N  PDL::Constants
N  Finish PDL::IO::ENVI module

   None of these are required for the PDL-2.4.7
   release and may be deferred.

Hope this helps.
