Hi Rob.
Minor comment on the ppm gui - Mine does not indicate from which Repo the PDL
distribution is being picked up. I suppose I could remove the uwinnipeg one to
see if distribution is still listed, but I don't know any other way of telling
the ppm installer which repository to use for a specific module/installer. That
is why I suggested the use of only the command line with the specific command.
If there is a way to force the distribution to use a specific repo, we could
add that. I'll try deleting the uwinnipeg repo and see if the pdl distribution
still appears. Unfortunately I can only do that when I am disconnected from my
vpn, so it will have to wait till later.

I've added a "from the command line" to the instructions on the wiki - it
now reads:
Then install the PGPLOT (optional), OpenGL (recommended) and PDL modules by
running, from the command line:
I don't really want to warn against using the gui interface, as I would
think that there's a way to install the uwinnipeg ppm packages using it.
Probably first need to add
http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/PPMPackages/10xx/
repo to the list of ppm repos, and then maybe do a search of available
packages, and then select the one you want. (Providing all options regarding
the way in which the ppm install could be performed could quickly turn into
a tutorial on ppm's options and capabilities - and I don't really want to
get involved with doing that, either :-)

Excellent !!

Actually, I've struck the same behaviour with some versions of it, too - yet
they seem to work ok. Looks like just some quirk with how one invokes it.
If everything is working ok, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks muchly for the feedback.

Cheers,
Rob
