TriD is a binary module and needs to be compiled
for the version of PDL you have.  I would be *very*
surprised if you apt-get package version was current
with PDL-2.4.9_993 since it hasn't even been officially
released yet.

In general, you can have problems with compiling
PDL if you have more than one version in your perl
and executable/library paths.  In this case, I recommend
that you install the perl OpenGL module (0.65 or later)
and then try the build from source again.

Also, please see the BUGS file in the PDL distribution
for the information you need to include in problem
reports and discussions.
