While you may not agree, IMO these statements are at odds with each other. Having modularized dependencies and a simple and robust tool-chain makes 1 click install possible. Certainly it is the only way to make it possible for non-root-access users. You may not care, but others do. Joel (P.S. have you looked at the Makefile.PL? Its scary.)
