The source for the book is at the Sourceforge site (
http://pdl.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=pdl/pdl-book;a=summary).
The PDF version is here (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdl/files/PDL/2.4.10/PDL-Book-20120205.pdf/download),
but it's a "build" from February and there are commits to the book source
from April of this year.

@Chris,

I once heard tell that someone (David, maybe?) had a LyX version of the
book. Is that under source control somewhere? I have some examples from a
PDL lecture series I gave that I would like to add to the intro chapters.
