Hi Chris,
Still getting the same problems with _006 as I did with _005.
Filter::Simple is part of core back to 5.7.3, anyway.
Before trying _006 I updated Filter::Simple to 0.88 on all my perls. (0.88
is the version that ships with 5.16.2, and is also the latest version to be
found on CPAN.)
Looks like some digging needed. I think a simple 'use 5.014;' would fix all
problems except the one with PDL::Graphics::PGPLOT (where the test ends up
reporting erroneously "
t/pgplot.t .................. skipped: Skipped: PDL::Graphics::PGPLOT not
installed".)
;-)
Cheers,
Rob

Subject: [Perldl] CHM/PDL-2.4.11_006.tar.gz uploaded to CPAN
A new CPAN developers release has been pushed
to CPAN and should appear at a mirror near you soon.
This adds a dependency on Filter::Simple which the
new NiceSlice engine requires.

Release Notes for PDL 2.4.11_006 --------------------------
General Notes:
* Another quick CPAN developers release
- It is a snapshot of the current git development tree
and everything may not work correctly or have complete
documentation.
- These release notes may not be fully complete. Please
see Changes (from the git log) for full details.
- All tests may not pass, especially ones corresponding
to issues in Known_problems.
- Manual build/install is recommended although the
cpan shell may be used by specifying the distribution
path rather than just the module name, e.g.:
cpan> get CHM/PDL-2.4.11_006.tar.gz
cpan> make CHM/PDL-2.4.11_006.tar.gz
cpan> test CHM/PDL-2.4.11_006.tar.gz
cpan> look CHM/PDL-2.4.11_006.tar.gz
Highlights:
* Make Filter::Simple a dependency for PDL since this
release is testing the new FilterSimple engine for
PDL::NiceSlice.
