The current devel tree for PDL::Graphics::Gnuplot includes many improvements, including more robustness (especially under fork() operations), better argument parsing, and several bug fixes. It also utilizes Alien::Gnuplot to vet and characterize the external gnuplot command.
After much prodding, PDL::Graphics::Gnuplot is nearing a 2.000 release to go along with PDL 2.007. Given the difficulty we've had with smoker testing gnuplot, I am once again soliciting cross-platform testing from individuals, especially from Microsoft Windows users. If you're willing, please download the latest from the URL below, "make test", and let me know what you find.
