Thanks for your comments, Chris. You are absolutely right. I already fixed the tyops. It seems that Wordpress converts the "->" to html codes when I copy-paste my code.
You are also right with the subroutine. I did not know about the existence of cumsumover(), even less when I wrote the code back in 2011. I will make a correction here. Thanks for that!
