Beras ketan = sticky rice Sawah = rice field Tanah sawah (biasanya lembek) = paddy soil Padi gogo = dry land rice Padi bukan tanaman setahun tapi tanaman musiman. Tanaman setahun umurnya nyaris setahun atau lebih sedikit. Contoh: tebu (sugar cane). Yang lebih daripada itu disebut annual crops atau tanaman keras.
