Now everyone can claim that this is the hugest international disaster of the decade. I am not a seismologist. But look at the following data I got from the IRIS. 17 earthquakes in ONE DAY @ ONE REGION! Still followed by several earthquakes next day. Unbelievable... Theoretically, one big earthquake can cause a tsunami. That was happened long time ago near Flores island that flooded the island. Now please see your world map.

But what happened yesterday and still in this early morning was a series of earthquake that was originated under the water between Bay of Bengal and off west coast of northern Sumatera island. The closer ring from the epicenter includes northern Sumatera island (Indonesia), Andaman islands and Nicobar islands (India). The outer ring on the east includes southern Burma, southern Thailand and western Malaysia. The outer ring on the north is southern Bangladesh. And the outer ring on the west includes Srilangka island and east coast of India. As a result, a tsunami hit those parts of the countries soon after they were shaken by several earthquakes.

Now you can imagine what was going on. I'd like to challenge the seismologists. Which earthquake that caused the tsunami? I bet it was a combo of several strong earthquakes. Seven countries effected. More than eleven thousand people killed. Hundred million dollars of casualties (may be more than a billion already). Several infrastructures including land transportation and telecommunication collapsed. International Red Cross, the effected countries' emergency services (including their national guards and the amateur radio emergency services)  and the local relief projects have been activated.
