Based on the antenna and general shape of the insect I suspect dermestids of some sort but would like confirmation. The one in the photo labelled trap 15 looks quite like Attagenus smirnovi but the other one I am not sure about (trap 17). It is longer, slimmer, and seemingly less fuzzy but still has those slightly clubbed antennae. Perhaps gen. Dearthrus or Dermestes elongatus? Note the side photo of that one also. I apologize for the quality. These are both between 3-4 mm long. They were found near the museum offices. We are located in Utah. As long as they are truly dermestidae I suppose it doesn't matter so much precisely which genera. But again, I would appreciate confirmation one way or the other. I have also been curious whether there any brown beetles with clubbed antenna that impersonate dermestids?
