Thank you Genevieve and Forrest! The identification of the mite helps to dissipate my tick anxieties... and in general makes more sense given the conditions of that room.
I'll see if anyone has an additional ID for the carpet beetle. But either way, we'll make sure to freeze anything before it's brought into the collection. Thanks!
