Jo - Freezing the piece at minus 20 F for 72 hours will kill all stages of drywood termites. However, you have to decide if the piece can be frozen without damage being done to it. Most of the time, you can wrap it in polyethylene and put it in a chest freezer. Or sometimes you might need to take it to a frozen food company and put it in one of their cold rooms. They usually have one for meat and butter storage which maintains minus 20 F. Tom Parker
