Morning pesty people from another cold and soggy Britain.

I wanted to share a few questions and knowledge about treatment selection for
museum objects and anyone who is willing to help us would be recognised in our
documents as a thank you as well as a professional acknowledgement.

  1. Is anyone aware of a situation where a portable C02 chamber has been used
and was available for hire similar to a lorry mounted freezer unit?

We need to use Co2 because we do not have the use of Nitrogen here in the UK
and we are exploring options for a bubble in a museum store but preferably
outside for H&S reasons. Unfortunately, the C02 company here do not have lorry
mounted chambers.

  1. We are reviewing what we consider to treat by C02 because freezing is not
considered safe and would be happy to share our lists for comment and use
examples which support our decision making. In particular we are reviewing the
safe to freeze lists and any additional precautions we need to make for
specific object types

I know all of us have a must not freeze lists, but the more I investigate, the
more variety I find
regards
Adie
