Subject: [PestList] insect id request
[CAUTION: This message originated from outside the Foundation. Do not click
links, open attachments or take action unless you know the contents are safe]
Hello—I’m posting this for an anonymous friend….. These small, flying insects
are inside a case that contains items made of feather and fur. They said they
were not able to get a better photo, because the insects move too quickly. I
was expecting to see carpet beetles, but that’s not what I can make out in this
photo. The friend said the insects are under 2mm. This is in coastal
California.
Any assistance is welcome.
Sincerely,
Nancy Jenner
