Hello pest managers, I agree that this has all been useful information, with some new ideas thrown in. Even for those of us who have been practicing freezing as a method of pest eradication for many years will find this discussion useful as a refresher course. Thank you Alyssa! May I remind you that Mary-Lou Florian, Conservator Emeritus at the Royal BC Museum, pioneer of this method of insect eradication, wrote a book, published in 1997, titled Heritage Eaters? This book includes most, if not all of the information presented through this list over the last few days, as well as a much broader discussion of integrated insect and fungal management in heritage collections. Have those of you who are experts thought of writing an article for the journal "Collection"s" or even a book that we could purchase through AAM? This is a complex topic we small museums face and the short information sheets from CCI or Conservogams clearly are not sufficient to cover the topic thoroughly Thanks Ann Ann Wright-Parsons Director, Anthropology Museum Department of Anthropology Northern Illinois University DeKalb, Illinois 60115 Phone-815-753-0230 Fax-815-753-7027
