Hello pest managers,

I agree that this has all been useful information, with some new ideas
thrown in. Even for those of us who have been practicing freezing as a
method of pest eradication for many years will find this discussion
useful as a refresher course. Thank you Alyssa! May I remind you that
Mary-Lou Florian, Conservator Emeritus at the Royal BC Museum, pioneer
of this method of insect eradication, wrote a book, published in 1997,
titled Heritage Eaters? This book includes most, if not all of the
information presented through this list over the last few days, as well
as a much broader discussion of integrated insect and fungal management
in heritage collections.

Subject: Re: [pestlist] Wrapping infested objects for freezing

Dear All of you writing about freezing for pests,

The amount of good information that is coming in and different methods
used that seem to work is somewhat overwhelming.

Have those of you who are experts thought of writing an article for the
journal "Collection"s" or even a book that we could purchase through
AAM? This is a complex topic we small museums face and the short
information sheets from CCI or Conservogams clearly are not sufficient
to cover the topic thoroughly

Thanks

Ann
