A client wants to move his Trixbox VoIP server (what I did) along with a
Microsoft Small Business Server (nothing to do with me guv) and hang it
on the end of an "Advanced Broadband" 2M symmetrical wireless service.
The broadband comes with a /29 IP range and is presented as ethernet
from the wireless receiver, requiring a router.
Being keen to avoid spending more money than necessary I've been asked
about Open Source solutions or low cost hardware that could provide :-
Firewall to keep the baddies out.
VPN termination to replace current insecure remote access by remote PCs
Routing to servers using /29 external IPs
opinions / experiences / suggestions welcome !
