No You are not alone, i have only just convinced my mother to dual - boot linux to show her what all the fuss is about, and she loves it! I have been using Feisty 7.04 and Xubuntu 7.10 up to now and they run fine, its only when i dual booted my mums PC and installed Gutsy that I found i could not connect to the wireless lan unless i enabled broadcast SSID
