I'll help you a bit here - if "hangar17" isn't a company then the
reference should be to "Fred Bloggs, trading as hangar17" or similar.

wrong - anyone can have one that's running a trading business, and
above a certain turnover (not very much - about £60k) - you are
obliged to have one.
BTW the reference to a SI by Andy is UK law implementing an EU
directive as we are obliged to by dint of our membership of that famed
institution.
