Yep I get this, it sucks - the only thing to do is to allow it to be broadcast, and use WPA instead of WEP, and then firewall all the PCs internal to the router as well, and turn off your computers when not in use. WPA Encryption works fine for me, I just have to accept the SSID being broadcast.
