The PhD positions are within the Norwegian Research Council ICT lighthouse 
project INTROMAT - Introducing personalized treatment of Mental health problems 
using Adaptive Technology, which has recently been funded with 74.2 M NOK 
across 15 academic and industrial partners.  HVLs responsibility in the project 
is to provide a modular and flexible ICT infrastructure with corresponding 
tools that supports the core clinical processes in the mental health domain. 
The research will be performed by combining state of the art techniques from 
the fields of Model Driven Software Engineering, Interaction Design, and 
Software Language Design. The infrastructure will be used both for conducting 
research with ICT in mental health and as a reference software architecture for 
development of e-health services.


The PhD research fellows will be affiliated with the faculty's ICT-oriented 
strategic research programme on ICT engineering 
(http://ict.hib.no<http://ict.hib.no/>) which currently includes 20 professors 
and associate professors, a large group of PhD students, and more than 50 
master's students.  The ICT engineering research environment has a strong focus 
on use-inspired and applied research, and cooperation with national and 
international research groups, and with industry partners. The research 
programme form the basis of the newly established PhD programme in Computer 
Science: Software Engineering, Engineering Computing, and Sensor Networks. The
