Just to clarify...

If you are creating a distributed application with a thin browser client I
would agree with Sybase consultants I would not take the PFC as a whole,
perhaps a few selected utility services can be taken out and deployed as
stateless EAServer components. String, numeric, SQL services, etc...

If you are going to have a distributed app with multiple front ends, PFC
can save you a lot of work in the PB client. What EAF did was to make
sure they integrate well with a PFC based client app.

For those just starting with EAServer and perhaps intimidated by using a
framework as an introduction to EAServer there is a great set of tutorials
available at http://www.powerobjects.com/jaguar.htm

If you know PowerBuilder you can code a simple working distributed thin
browser application in 1 - 2 hours. I don't want to mislead anyone,
distributed application design is not easy, but the hard part should not be
the language or integration. The set of tutorials will take you through
the steps needed to create and deploy a PB / EAServer based app.
