The command to "Check for Updates..." is in the main menu "pgAdmin 4" second
from the top under "About pgAdmin 4", as is typical for MacOS programs.
If you are trying to put pgAdmin in the Library folder that is part of your
problem, it belongs in the Applications folder.

it goes downhill from there. I tried installing it over the app in the Library
folder, but got the same result, an error message that was pretty complex. I
tried AI to remedy the situation which in the end became a suggestion to
reinstall it - crash and burn...
So I know it’s not do or die necessary, but I would like to know how it’s done.
As a student (in my 60’s) I’m trying to learn something I’ve wanted to for
along time…
