you should import CA certificate in your JRE ca certstore with commands:
cd $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security
keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias $YOURCAALIAS \
-file $YOURCACERTFILE -keystore cacerts
I usually store in client and server certificates the whole chain from
primary CA.
