Tom's post linked above seems to indicate it might be accepted, but I
will certainly yield to Core's decision. I'm still hoping someone else
will step up to the plate and tackle this: I feel that it would be
nice not to confuse a whole new group of users with commented-out
defaults which may or may not have a relation to the actual setttings. :)
