rather than the leading #. I'd suggest
* Un-comment all variables in postgresql.conf
By not showing commented-out variables, we will discourage people from thinking that re-commenting a variable returns it to its default.
That works ... then it implies that there are just no defaults, which, IMHO, would definitely cause less confusion :)
